During the first week of February, we went to Switzerland for a ski in the alps! We ended up at a resort called Villars.
While we were there, europe had some pretty amazing snowfall - it didn't stop snowing from Monday afternoon until Thursday morning while we were there. This meant that we had to learn how to ski powder pretty fast! These views are taken from the chalet in Chesiéres, Villars.
Sue was still suffering a bit from morning sickness, so she was usually pretty worn out by the evenings.
On Wednesday, we headed out with some new friends (from Glasgow and NZ) for dinner at a restaurant called La Grange. The guys had meat fondue with Horse, Chicken and Beef. Sue ended up with Kangaroo steak!
The obligatory local cat photo.
Friday, our last day, was perfect, the sun came out, and we had a lovely time.
We had lessons each day with Bruce, a very cool instructor who makes yurts during the summer!
We had lunch with Lynne and John from Glasgow at Les Chaux on Friday.
This is the Swiss version of the SkiTube - a pretty neat cog-railway.
Petit Chamosaire had the best view of the place, we spent a bit of time on the red runs here on the last day.
